Wow. Give that girl a mic!!! Amplify this from the rooftops! This gives me hope for the future knowing an 18 year old sees so clearly. I did not know youthful clear thinkers still existed. God bless her.
Thank you for sharing this letter. The fact that it's written by an 18-year-old is pretty astounding these days. Not many in that age bracket have the depth of understanding that this young lady possesses. I'm not familiar with the Patriot Institute from which she graduated, but it would seem that has a great deal to do with her heartfelt "Letter to America."
To have such a strong understanding of the "Secondhand sacrifice" is truly a gift. She is so right about all of those who went before, laying the stones for the foundation upon which our Nation was built. It also speaks to the goodness that came out of the closeness to God that was so common during those times.
Thank you so much for sharing and I hope there are many more young men and women like the author, who look upward instead of inward. Our Nation is in peril. Just reading this gives me hope.
I thank God that I was born in the USA, and at the age of 81 I am still giving back. I'm a volunteer CERT team member, Red Cross volunteer at hurricane shelters, Police Dept volunteer, Fire Department volunteer, church volunteer. I sew clothing for a charity called Little Dresses for Africa, and I sew duffle bags for foster children (who normally have their clothing hauled around in garbage bags). I crochet warm caps to donate to the homeless and take coloring books and paperback books to nursing homes and teach gardening as a volunteer.
ANYBODY can do SOMETHING for other people! That is the American spirit. P.S. I don't own a TV.
What an essay awakening all Americans to be mindful of our responsibility to take care of our country for the future generations. So many gems in this beautifully written article.
I love being a pastor in a small town…the relationships you form, the community, the sense of family….my slogan was a Family Oriented, Community Minded Chirch
I am impressed by her ability to speak the truth in Love and to be Salt in this time of national crisis—we are facing terrible consequences for our inadequacy in Stopping the deterioration of our country and our institutions ❣️It is Time for the Church to Be Restored to our First Love, Jesus Christ of Nazareth a JEWISH MESSIAH. 🤷🙏❤️✝️❤️🩹🇮🇱😻
Thank you for sharing this brother. This note carries such a strong reminder that the Lord often does His deepest work in us through seasons we would never choose for ourselves. Many times we want quick growth, quick answers, and immediate maturity, but scripture shows again and again that God shapes His people slowly through surrender, faith, perseverance, and abiding in Him daily. Every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. John 15:2 I think one of the hardest lessons in the Christian life is learning that God is more concerned with transforming our character than simply improving our comfort. Through trials, correction, waiting, and dependence upon Him, He teaches us humility, patience, endurance, and trust. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience. Romans 5:3 What encourages me is that the Lord never wastes those difficult seasons. Even when we do not fully understand what He is doing, He is faithfully shaping us more into the image of Christ little by little. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory. 2 Corinthians 3:18 Sometimes the seasons that feel the most painful or confusing become the very places where our faith grows the deepest roots. God teaches us to rely less on ourselves and more fully upon His grace and strength. For when I am weak, then am I strong. 2 Corinthians 12:10 I also believe these seasons help soften our hearts toward others who are hurting, struggling, or carrying burdens of their own. The Lord often uses our own broken places to make us more compassionate, patient, and understanding toward people around us. Blessed be God, who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Thank you again for sharing brother. It is a beautiful reminder that true spiritual maturity is not formed overnight, but through continually walking with Jesus, learning from Him, trusting Him through every season, and allowing Him to faithfully complete the work He began in us.
