I look forward to the next part as this is very personal for me as a woman who teaches in my local church but gets criticised by some believers who refuse to fellowship with us because of what I do.

Pauline, It is a sad thing to see how so many women have been sidelined or treated as second class believers. That your Calvinist pastor I mentioned still does not pray with a group of local pastors because some (not all) do not take the hard line on silencing women in church as he does. It’s disturbing. I pray that you find peace in knowing your Heavenly Father is proud of you and has given you gifts to be used for Him.

Wave Nunally and Craig Keener have some excellent videos and articles on the issues that may help others understand.

Thank you for the suggestion. My professor, Alaine Buchanan PhD, met Craig Keener and by her recommendation I bought the NRSV Cultural Study Bible where he is the editor to the study notes in the New Testament. - how has your experience been with our AG fellowship?

Overall it has been good. The issues I've had tend to be with those coming from other fellowships into Pentecost, especially those who lack seminary training. Older and more educated people are much more welcoming of women

Thank you for the acknowledgement. Btw, I am AG

It's also very frustrating how faithful women in ministry get automatically lumped in with being politically and theologically liberal; I've seen so many videos of someone showing a woman preaching social "justice" in front of a rainbow flag, and then saying. "See, this is what happens to churches with female pastors!"

Yes, I have seen the same thing. As if all women respond the same way, but men can think for themselves.
